Healing on Country
This artwork represents a healing journey on country. Connections to country is important to our First Nations peoples. It gives us a sense of belonging, a feeling of being grounded to land. The colours in the design represent Country, the circles in the middle are our gathering circles, our support people of family. The gum leaves share a connection to country for me. The smell of gum leaves keeps me grounded and connected to country. The lines in the artwork represent journey lines, a journey of healing.
