Reconciled Nation
DREAM BIG, ONE DAY WE MIGHT BE A RECONCILED NATION.
I painted this piece because I wanted something that I could look at everyday, that was not only positive but inspirational.
I believe that individuals all have a role to play within reconciliation. I think whether that be in their personal life, work life, sporting life, no matter what it is, I think everybody has a role. Whether that be to further educate themselves, to stand up for what is right, to stand up to racism, to further engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, creators. Everybody in every kind of way has a role to play. And it is up to the 97% of our population to achieve genuine reconciliation.
We all have a role to play in reconciliation and now is the time to stand up.
